our story

Floret Fine Art was born from a love of timeless beauty, pastoral landscapes, and the art of slow, thoughtful living.

Founded in 2024 by artist and landscape architect Kess Aleksandrova, Floret emerged as a natural extension of a lifelong creative journey. From her teenage years, Kess has been painting commissioned landscapes, family portraits, equine works, and delicate botanical pieces — many of which found their way into homes across New Zealand.

What began as a small offering of prints at local Christchurch markets in 2016 has gradually evolved into something more intentional. Between a career in design and an equestrian lifestyle, Kess spent years refining her craft and building a body of work that felt both personal and enduring. With the arrival of her daughter, Floret Fine Art became a way to bring together motherhood, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the quiet richness of home life.

The launch collection features a curated range of museum-quality fine art prints — each chosen for its ability to bring warmth, texture, and elegance to serene interior spaces. From intricate ink drawings to gestural oil paintings, every piece is crafted with care and printed using archival materials designed to last a lifetime.

At its heart, Floret Fine Art is about more than just aesthetics — it’s about connection. To the land, to craftsmanship, and to the beauty of creating a home that tells a story.
